Artist List from 2009's Top 89 Countdown

Here's the list of artists from our Top 89 Countdown, which aired on New Year's Day 2010. Every December, our Music Department counts the number of times our New Music artists were played in the previous twelve months. It's a big task for them, but we feel it's an exciting way to say goodbye to the previous year and welcome in the new one.

There were definitely some surprises on the Top 89 Countdown, which aired on New Year's Day 2010. Among other things, Volbeat soared high up the list to find a place among WSOU's heavies, longtime veterans Saxon had a strong showing and local guys Anaka broke into the Top 25.

Take a good look at the list below, and always remember: You can affect next year's list by calling in and requesting what you want to hear!
