More from Blabbermouth.net:
South Carolina's THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD will team up with the nation's largest college radio station — WSOU in South Orange, New Jersey — for a radio premiere of their new album, "Skepsis", in its entirety on their specialty show, "Pirated Advance", this Friday, January 28 at 9 P.M. EST. The album will hit the streets on Tuesday, February 2 via Prosthetic Records.
"Pirated Advance" host Sheigh Perkins will be joined by THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD's vocalist Danny Rodriguez. During the evening listeners will be able to tune in for an hour's worth of new music as well as an exclusive interview with Danny regarding the new release, upcoming developments with the band and the concept behind "Skepsis" from start to finish.
People in the New York metropolitan area can tune their dials in to 89.5 FM this Friday between 9 and 10 p.m. (EST). People outside of the area can tune in online at www.wsou.net and can catch the broadcast. Fans can also request their favorite tracks from "Skepsis" by calling (973)761-9768, or via AOL Instant Messenger at WSOUrequests.
"Skepsis" is the first THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD album to feature new vocalist Danny Rodriguez, drummer Mike Ranne and guitarist Chris "Hank" Henckel.
Commented guitarist Justin Longshore: "Our new record, 'Skepsis', finally captures the sound we've always envisioned. We really wanted to raise the bar with this one but also keep the consistency that THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD is known for. Overall, everyone has become better at their instruments and it really shows on the record. I have no doubt in my mind that new and old fans of the band will be pleased when they hear it!"
"Skepsis" track listing:
01. Parasite Throne
02. Dementia
03. No Haven
04. Perpetual Defilement
05. Inherit Obscurity
06. The Manifest

Artist List from 2009's Top 89 Countdown
Here's the list of artists from our Top 89 Countdown, which aired on New Year's Day 2010. Every December, our Music Department counts the number of times our New Music artists were played in the previous twelve months. It's a big task for them, but we feel it's an exciting way to say goodbye to the previous year and welcome in the new one.
There were definitely some surprises on the Top 89 Countdown, which aired on New Year's Day 2010. Among other things, Volbeat soared high up the list to find a place among WSOU's heavies, longtime veterans Saxon had a strong showing and local guys Anaka broke into the Top 25.

DJ Profile: Sheigh Hey Hey
DJ: Sheigh Hey Hey
Hometown:
Favorite Bands: Clutch, Volbeat, Black Label Society, Mastodon, Dillinger Escape Plan
Hobbies: Music, music, music. It's my life, and I love living it.
Favorite WSOU Experience: 2-way tie: 1) The 60th Anniversary show was when I wasn't even a DJ yet. It was awesome to finally put some names with faces @ the show and meet some of the amazing and dedicated listeners that WSOU has! On top of getting a drum stick from Unearth and meeting Ivan Moody didn't hurt either! 2) My interview with Neil Fallon of Clutch... you may know that I always start my shift off with Volbeat and a TRIPLE SHOT of Clutch, so my obsession is apparent. Being able to interview Neil was hands down one of my favorite WSOU experiences because lets be honest, WHERE ELSE WOULD I HAVE GOTTEN TO DO THAT?!
About: Soon I hope to graduate from Seton Hall with my degree in Business with dreams to open my own bar or radio station someday. Catch me on WSOU for New Music Fridays, with the Top 10 and the Pirated Advance (8 pm - midnight every week!). Get in touch with me at www.twitter.com/sheighheyhey

About: I've been a member of WSOU Sports since December 2007 but got my DJ credentials in the summer of 2009. Watch out - I'm a dominant competitor in Madden. I haven't lost to any friend (or WSOU staffer) in about a year.
